Hi Guys

I am getting ready to record my first Scratch track with Sonar 2.0 XL.

Can I feed the Sonar Click to the Stage Monitors without having the live instruments looping through the monitors as well? If so, can you tell me the setup?

I am pulling the live stage mix via a snake to a Mackie 24 channel mixer (I figured to take the Tape Out to the sound card).

Thanks.

so you want a metronome going into the monitors?

but you don't want the recorded sound to also go through the monitors?

i think the answer to this question is to disable input monitoring.

options --> audio --> input monitoring

that way your soundcard output will have the click, but not what you are recording.

If you have an external MIDI device (keyboard, synth, etc...)

Turn off your Sonar click,
have a sequenced MIDI drums note (eg. sidestick, cowbell, etc ) constantly like metronome, assign it to your keyboard, then fed the audio output of the keyboard to your monitor. Your sound card absolutelly has nothing to do with it but to hook the MIDI to your keyboard, if thats your interface. :)
I guess you can figure the rest...

:D
