Hi all, this is the band that I play drums and bass for. Our vocalist is out of town for the next few weeks so I decided to go ahead and post this so I could start getting some mix feedback.
I only used two mics on the drums so they kind of are what they are. The cymbals are a little loud at times but that probably has more to do with my lack of control while playing rather than placement. Any comments appreciated.
This is just a rock demo for fun.

Lol. Heart's "Barracuda" called and wants its opening riff back. :p

Pretty cool song. Nice changes and shit. The recording sounds pretty lo-fi overall. I'd like to hear it done up big and with vocals.

How do you play bass and drums for the same band?

More like NAZARETH - This Flight Tonite

The tune is OK --- but doesn't have the ooomph --- sounds a tad lo-fi
maybe a re-mix and EQ would help
nice guitar playing

greg l thanks for listening. Haha Baracuda, I will have to call the guitarist out on that one.

I am an octopus.

No really, we are not a serious band so we just jam whenever we have free time. I usually track the bass when something has been recorded.

johnnymegabyte thanks for the input.

I did a little more eq'ing/clean up. Link is the same. Thanks again for listening guys.

Sounds pretty decent, for as minimal as it is. You got a good drum sound again.
I like it.

Cool Stuff! The guitar movement at 20 seconds that repeats is very big band :D Makes me want to hear a horn section ;) I know of course it would not fit the style, but I think it would still be cool.

I can hear alot of influences in this.

Good job!
