Cipher Reel to Reel

Hello all,

I was just wondering if anybody had any information on Cipher reel to reels. I found one for decently cheap, but can't seem to find any info on it. One person on here had a bit of info, but I was wondering if anyone else did. It is a Cipher 1 intermark reel to reel....I'm just curious as to what the sound quality of these are like, and whether it records stereo or not..

It looks like a 60's consumer deck. I wouldn't invest much in the way of time or money in it.

Thanks for the reply. I'm thinking about picking it up anyway, because it is only $20. If it ends up sounding bad, perhaps I'll turn it into a lofi tape echo

You can't do that if it's not a 3-head machine. Most units like that aren't.
