Did a cover of Mr. Youngs classic. Im playing all the suff and singing as usual. Let me know how the mix sounds. Drumming is getting better :). Keep in mind its a 128 mp3. Its on my soundclick page, link at the bottom.

It's hot. In that it's pumping and just shy of clipping. I know brother Neil loves square waves but this is a bit nasty. Also I hear some mistakes on the chords you're playing. Not busting your balls my friend, just trying to help with some observations.

Yea I pushed it level wise for the hell of it. And as far as chords, yep. I dont read music or have any music theory. I only know three chords. Watch me burn !!!! Honestly I dont know many "Chords", And I basically just play by ear and wing alot of it. But its all good. I just hope for descent sound quality. :) Thanks for the input. I do have another mix which isnt quite as loud and has a different audio quality to it, more 80's type Heavy Metal type. But to be honest the one posted sounds good on my Sansui/Polk Monitor setup (Home system). Not sure what your listening on.

Fun tune....it's hot as Track Rat said...which can be cool if you wanted a dirty version. Sounds like a fun bar band playing it...

I like it like this, as it's different than I would have expected. If you want it sounding cleaner, you will need to back it down some. Otherwise, it's fun.

Yea it has alot of gain on guitars. Thats what I like. I dont try and nail the cover sound for sound and note for note. I try and do my version. Which can be a bad thing. :) But I wanted it grungey sounding (Like Neils "Rust Never Sleeps sound") Im happy with it. Considering Im just learning to sing and record and play bass and drums. I have alot to learn yet. Thanks again for the reviews.

I love it. It sounds like a metal version. I really don't mind how loud it is. It's a rocking version of an otherwise sort of mellow song. Great way to put your own spin on it. I love the "loves to dance, yeah yeah yeah" part with all the crash coming in.

The other people are right though, very compressed. But anyone who isn't a home-recorder wouldnt be able to tell the difference.

This makes me wanna do the song.

Great job on this one. I like the huge guitars and drums. I'd like a "drier" drum sound, but it works for this one. Vocals sound pretty good. Cymbals are a little harsh, but not too bad. Good job overall! :)
