This one's got some warts... hopefully, we'll get them ironed out before Christmas.

(apologies to Lt. Bob, Participant, JCMM, Joro, Cat-Eggs, and 12 other people I'm dragging ass on collabs with, lol :D )

With the risk of being an idiot I'll ask anyway - did you write this song?

Deja-vu

Super Good Chris.....is this an original song?
I have never heard it before,...very cool....

the Viola might need just a touch more of verb to blend with the vox....
it sounds really good just a little drier than the vox..

The Tamborine could stop 2 seconds sooner at the end....right on the 4...

(talk about nit-picking....eh? :D )

Jaimee's voice is phenomenal man...you guys really got me going on the builds on the chorus ...talented kid you got there....where does she get it from anyways? ;)
The accapella part at 2 minutes is awesome but, the pause is just maybe a nano second too long....great harmony inbetween you two guys.....

none of the above nits really need to be changed man....this tune is a gem....Thanks for sharing it man.....and Merry Christmas man :D

It was written by by some of your kinsman - a Canadian couple, Steve and Elizabeth Rhymer. The song was initially recorded by Emmylou Harris in the late 70's, then later in the 80's by the Judds and Nana Maskouri. We still gotta' do a traditional Christmas song this weekend...that leaves us...ummmm... TODAY, lol.

Thanks for the listens.
Chris

Great stuff as always. You must NOT waste that voice, keep an eye out for oppurtunities, we keep saying it!

Thanks Conopus and DrummChris. This was fun.

Oh, and thanks to the cocksocket who took the time to vote on the thread, lol. :D

Wow

What a performance.
When are you guys gonna try out for Austin City Limits?
When my daughter was 13 she was more into dramatics than music if ya know what I mean:D

Spectacular! I love her voice! Very unique, not overdone and smooth! My daughter and I did ONE song together and she will NOT let me play it for anyone! LOL

Two thumbs up!

Cool song, very nice performance on both your parts....

I also love the acapella part, and the harmonies are excellent....

The cello is sweet...

Was that mando in there?

Very soothing, and "feel good" tune....

:)

uhm... ok embarassingly I haven't heard Jaimee sing till now.. she's great..

A nice richness and maturity to her voice that just doesn't normally hang out on 12 year olds. The chops are there and if you guys can produce original writing on a regular basis to match those pipes I smell career.

Good job on the addl vox Chris. Instrumentation and mix sounds nice and clear.

The vocal line at 0:52 reminds me of Alanis, i read who wrote this song and i guess it was written before her but it still reminds me of her.

Great stuff, my apologies for not catching her sooner. Keep an eye on your old man he'll put you in the right direction.

Sounds great Chris. Jaimee did a great job and you managed not to screw it up :D

The percussion and violin sound great. The song seems a bit thin in general but it's got some nice air to it. It might just be the sparse arrangement. Maybe a warmer guitar tone would help fill it out a little more. The high end sounds better than usual. Not as crispy.
