One Hit Wonder
Finally got my copy of Sonar tonight. All I can say so far is... wow.
Haven't done much with it, except to install it, load a CW file and play around with the interface. It's going to take some getting used to, but this is the way to go. All the controls at your fingertips.
The installation went smooth (I actually read the read-me-first sheet). The file I loaded had 12 tracks, most with reverb and eq, and it loaded and played fine. Then I tried to "combine" to clips in one track. The combine command is gone, and it took me awhile to find "bounce to clip" (who thought up that name?). The only negative is that this command destructively applies your volume envelopes, which combine didn't do. I guess it's not any big problem, as if you need to make further adjustments I imaging you can put an new envelope on the track.
I haven't even tried to look for any of the new features yet. I'm still trying to figure out how to do the things I used to know how to do in CW.
