I have all the equipment to imput sound into my PC using 1/4 inch and RCA. the problem is I need software. All i want to do is record around 8 seperate wav tracks from my sound card and be able to hear and record and play them togeather. I don't know what to use, cakewalk and logic audio seem very complicated and midi oriented, I want something simpler, can cool edit do muti track recording and playback?

Why yes, cool edit can. I suggest downlaoding some demos and try a few and find the one that suits you best.

Found one

I wanted simple wav stuff and I got it!!! Cool edit is expensive but this does JUST what I needed and it's only $12! Check it out at

It's 8 track SIMPLE wav multitrack recording, editing, mixing, and playback. If you don't use midi its the best stuff to use.
