Choosing A Set Up help?!

Ok I'm Starting To Build A Home Recording Studio For Manily Recording Hip Hop Vocals, So Far I've Purchased
A Bheringer c-1 condencer Mic Anyone Have Any Ideas If These Are Any Good?
I Have A Mic Stand And My Pc And Laptop, I have A Laptop Running Windows Vista 1gb ram And Pc On Running Windows Xp And That Also Has 1gb RAM,
I'm Looking For A Good Interface To Use That Will Work With Both Systems and that will give me a nice clear sound also what Program Would You Recommend I Use As I'm using Adobe Audition Atm Witch I'm Quite Comfortable with but is there anything I could get better results with any help is appreciated as I'm new to recording thank you


also someone on this site has recommended that I use a tascam us 800 would that work on windows xp and vista and is it compatible with Adobe audition

Btw I Have About £200 to spend

Do some reading here before buying anything. Just about any interface will work with those 2 systems, including all the Tascams (note the US800 is out of production). If all you need is one channel recording ability (1 mic) you could get away with something like the M Audio Fastrack.
 
Yeah Only Need The One for now I've Been Reading A lot And Noticed A Few All In One Studios Or Portastudios some call them do you Know Anything About zoom R16's I Was Thinking Of Getting One of These as I could use it on the move and then connect it to my laptop or pc to mixdown or even do it on it nut I'm un sure if they will produce high quality recordings I could always connect a pre amp to the r16 not looking to throw 300 away
 
Yes, the Zoom will do what you are suggesting. Somepeople here have used them and reported favorably.
