recorded these tracks last night before going to bed...JUST guitars so far..

You think it'll be enough of a song if I'll just double that track???
start over from start so to speak??

I would favor the part one guitar on the left in the mix and maybe try a sound thats a little less fuzzy to give them definitition and dynamics. The second chunka part sounds great with the fuzzy distortion but the picked arrpeggios get a little lost. I love that distorted sound but I've always had a problem hearing the fundamental notes when there is so much harmonic distortion.

Keep going...

Thanks!

Points taken;
My cousin said he'd wanna program them drums... progressive son of a gun as he is dunno what to expect..
With them I'm gonna retrack, with less fuzzy lead on the first part, somewhat less on the chuggingpart too and try some palm-muting on the arpeggios to scavinge out more clearly picked notes....

Will it need an additional solo of some sort, considering I prolly can't get a singer for this???? ..as an instrumental?..

the basslines will be a bitch too.

Sounds cool but needs something to give more rhythmic articulation.

Rhythmic articulation???......

New term for me.. Won't the drums do something of sort??

I retracked to real length. Afraid I mixed it too loud on the high-end??

Added a bassline, horrible sound, I'll retrack with a more articulate bass.
Waiting for drums from cousin... :(

Great playing, Jouni. I can't wait to hear it more fully fleshed out.

If you can play well enough in time with yourself, I'd record a much cleaner guitar over the lead lines and bury it so that you're just getting the attack. This should add clarity to them. Nice song, btw!

I'd listen to something like this. I'd even enjoy singing or drumming in a band of this style... but then, I don't really have the time for other projects.

Yay... Just wanted to give chance to listen the final...

Cousin couldn't get shit done so I haphazardly progged the drums.
Also recorded a clean track to articulate the distorted, retracked the bass, but that was futile, just couldn't get a clear sound out of the old precision... :o

It's going to my riff-cemetary labeled ;

Next I'm gonna do something with clean sounds...

this sounds like a lot of older black metal recordings... kinda cool and not too hi-fi. but still cool nonetheless.
