I want to make up some cables and patching for around the studio. Right now I don't really have the money to spend on neutrik or switchcraft connectors.

All I want right now is something that will get the job done for now, IE it dosen't have to last very long.

Where can I find really cheep XLR, TRS and 1/4" connectors online?

So far I've been doing fine with rca cables and 99 cent for two rca to 1/4" adapters. I just want to get some ballanced stuff.

Buy cheap, buy twice.

Switchcraft TRS are like $1.40 each, XLR for like $1.99 each. Spend the money.

Slackmaster 2000

Thats the idea, buy twice...

Right now I'm only learning and I'm not making much money and I need some cheep connectors to make the cables I need for now. In a year or two down the road when I start making some money I plan on replacing just about all my gear to get better stuff.

A year from now I may not be recording anymore at all. A year ago I didn't know what xlr was little lone know how to use compression or what the diffrence is between 16 bit and 24 bit. Right now I have a Behringer 2004 mixer, a delta 44, a SP C1 mic, 2 57's, a Pair of yorkville YSM-1i montiors.

The only think I plan on keeping in this setup are the Montiors and the C1 and maybe the 57's they are always usefull for something.

I hear ya. I'm financially challenged myself, and I've had to cut corners a lot more than I'd like, but with the assumption that I'm going to replace the inferior stuff when the cash allows (and it has quite a bit already).

The only company online I know of is Alltronics (http://www.alltronics.com/), but you'd probably be better off with a local electronics store (but NOT Radio Shack unless it's an emergency).

forget cheap it will cost you more in the long run save ya pennies and get neutrix connectors they are also self cleaning as well do yourself a favour dont give yourself nightmares later on
