Hi. I really wanted to put a good song that I had worked ages on but well I did this before bed last night. Yes, its just one crap guitar again but I put another little vocal harmony on too.

Sorry, rather cheesy again and there is a bit of "sibling" I think thats the word for when you are too close.

I was going to add a bass guitar and some other gutars and maybe a wee cymbal but I thought I would post something. Oh yeh and the end isn`t good.

Hey, I really liked it just the way it is. But it was easy to imagine the same song in a BIG arrangement with a full band. Either way, I think it's a good tune

You are a talent, it´s easy to hear it.

I love this kind of voice right in the face. You have probably heard that it sounds like Nick Drake.

Hate to compere but thats the one I was thinking about.

(I dont now the word, I´m from sweden) but the ssssss and cccccc are noise, hope you understand what I mean.

Great performance,

Great

I think that all of your stuff is great. Kind of has a Gordon Lightfoot feel to it. You make simple recordings with vocal and guitar sound fantastic by focusing on the song...keep em coming!!

Cooper,

You've done it again mate!
Great song! Loved every second of it.

If you're still interested, I'd really like to play piano in one of your songs. Hopefully in the next month or so, before I'm leaving to the US for the summer.
PM me if you want.

Keep it up!

sounds good to me, but I think the guitar was maybe recorded a bit too quiet? When I turned up my "pc speakers" I heard a little noise. but, once the vocals are in, I can no longer notice it.

You are using the same daw box and the mic that came with it, right? If so, we all should refer Erland's stuff to people who are constantly struggling to buy more expensive gears to sound better. good job

groovy

glad you liked it

twist. Cheers, a friend on the forum added some backing stuff to another song. I wish i could do that, I would love a keyboard for piono and strings etc.. Thanks though

maxc. Who is this Nick Drake guy. Someone send me an mp3. Wow, cheers mate. i don`t know the word either, I am learning how to handle the mic every time I use it. Good fun. Hey I almost studied last year in Luleo or Orebro, instead I went to Budapest, the land of fine women and wine! Anyway, thanks.

King Elvis. Thats a real nice thing to say, thankyou. I don`t know that guy.

Aren. Ah Aren. Good to see you again. Wow, Cheers. Ok. How about I send you just like a wee tune and you slap on the piano. Is that cool? I`ll go and muck about now....take care buddy.

A1A2. I recorded that little finger pick separately. I wanted it to be quiet and of less quality at the start. A new guitar picks up after which is supposed to sound nicer. Perhaps it wasn`t very distict. Daw box? I love that little boss. It does me fine. A friend on the forum gave me a new mic, I am testing it out. Its really old but really cool! Anyway, cheers for the comment, that means a lot. I just want to get the best out of what I have or atleast make a simple song sound alright recorded. Anyway, I`ve rabbited on too much. Adios and thanks again.

Erland, you never cease to amaze me. You're proof positive that exotic mics and high zoot preamps don't mean shit. I can listen to your songs for hours (and I have). VERY, very good.

Loved this tune! I didn't know what to expect at first, the intro was a little low, but I heard a second guitar come in or something and I was hooked! Nice song overall, the vocals stood out really well. I don't think you need to add anything to it as far as intrumentation. Loved it!

cheeeeers

Track Rat. Thank you ever so much for checking them out, you`ve said nothing but enthusiastic helpful stuff, cheers mate.

vicevursa. Yeh me too, just thought it was kind of nice for an evening song. The intro is supposed to be quiet and then another guitar comes in louder with the song. I am glad you like the vocals. I think that was the highest I`ve ever sung!

thanks, later

I really dig your song. It's not a style that I typically listen to but I can't stop listening to it for some reason. I really like the fact that it is not overdone, I think that's what makes it so good. Great Job...

Oh my.. now you've done it...

You have fully confirmed the fact that if you ever set foot on American soil, I will hunt you down, kidnap you, and force you to sing for my band. :p (which isn't even a complete band yet since I can't find a D@MN MALE VOCALIST!!!!)

I agree that you don't need to add much to this song (as with all your other songs)... which rather makes me nauseous since I always add to much junk to my mixes and then never end up liking the end result since the song is hopeless in the first plalce and no amount of accompanyment will help it. :( So keep on writing catchy, simple songs man... you haven't missed yet. Speaking of which... you really ought to get your self "discovered". You've got some real talent and it's a waste for you to just share your stuff with a couple people on an internet message board. You should get yourself out there in the public eye.

I look forward to buying your first CD when I gets released here in the States. :D

I just read the ridiculously long thread started by Chessrock ($200 vs $2000 for preamp). I'm in the process of upgrading my setup. Chess' thread made me think about my gear lust and analysis paralysis. Listening to all of your songs is proof positive of that, like what Track Rat said. There should be a link to your songs in that thread to shut everyone up. :)

Budget gear or pro gear? Forget about it. It's all about making music. That's what you do--MAKE MUSIC!!! And beautiful music at that.

Nothing cheeky about this 3/4 song at all. All I can say is, beautiful. I too, am hooked to your songs. They just make you want to smile and hug a tree or something. Seriously though Erland, all I can say is you've got "it". Your songs and style are absolutely brilliant. I, like many, are just waiting to see you make your professional debut. Cheers.

you guys sure use some funny words on the other side of the pond...eh mate??;)

nice tune....maybe a little reverby...but good. couple of mic pops too.

I gotta add some more stuff to this, just to piss off all those who love your "sparce mixes" (myself included)...so watch out!!!:D

wee song??? ha! your too funny, but sing like a bird...

Man... I'd take that "Nick Drake" comment as an insult...

:D

Sorry.. but I checked that stuff oat and didn't see the correlation...

(P.S. I think that "Man in a Shed" song is autobiographical) :D
