A veritable treat for the ears. Shows what great talant and excellent engineering can do.

That bass player is HOT!
When all else fails, hump the air and then bang your head.

This had redefined my role in music, and yes...even in life.

Now, someone slap me some STD's.

It's videos like this that make me wonder why I never played a gig. Shit people do...why don't I? There seems to be alot of these videos of school concerts, community centre shows etc etc. Closest I came to playing live was whn I was in school. We auditioned for the school concert with 'November Rain'. We didn't get in, but the guy calling the shots asked us to play with another band that got in with 'I don't like Mondays'. Not a very guitar-filled song, so I was happy enough to sit it out. I saw the amalgamated band play to about 500 people and fuck up haf way through. They actually stopped playing and looked around in bewilderment.

I dunno, those kids are obviously shit. But at least they're having fun being shit.

The irony: although they'll be better musicians one day soon, strangely, less people will watch them play.

THat was so bad, it crashed my computer! But I had to risk it to finish watching it. Yeah, I bet there was some awesome sex with the groupies after that, and some delicious YMCA heroin!

Oh, I know. It just felt refreshing to try to make some sense out of stuff akin to "f off" and "your mama."

Seriously, isn't it weird that most of the time we see a video of a band playing poorly, they are all playing that same freaking song? Is it somehow mysteriously the most difficult-to-play song ever written? What gives? And don't give me that crap about how "the people who play it are the people who listen to it and they have bad ears anyway," that's just ridiculous.

And for the record, I'm not carrying any STDs. :D

I posted this musical botched abortion on another board, and it's elegant crappitude brought out the best in one of the video editors.

So I just wasted a good half hour of my life on this thread. It just sucked me in. So thanks everyone, haha.

Gotta love that teen spirit song...We almost covered it, then decided to kill ourselves before covering that song. Haha.

No-one seems to like Nirvana. It's a shame, because they're clearly the best band ever.
Admittedly this song, played by a bunch of 4-year year olds, sucks.

If they are the best you ever heard, then you have not heard much.
BTW Junior, I dont mind being neg rep'd.What pisses me off is when a sack-
less pillow biter such as yourself doesnt sign it.

I have fond memories of the really shitty bands I was in when I was, like, 10 and 11 years old. :)

In my first band, the bass player was 100% tone deaf. Really, to the point where he had no idea which notes sounded good or bad. So we just trained him to play the right notes at the right time (he could at least do that) and as long as he didn't get sidetracked it worked out OK. (We still laugh about it together, over 40 years later.) That was a learning experience for all of us, but especially for the bass player - he never attempted to play a musical instrument again after that band broke up, and the world is a better place for it. :D

The second band I was in, the guy who considered himself the "leader" turned out to be the least talented but most conceited of the bunch. Guess what - he was the one for whom music never was a lifelong vocation or avocation.

I think of bands like the ones shown on these Youtube clips as weeding-out experiences. Like in the first clip, the girl that's singing will obviously never get any better, although it's clear that she thinks she's a rock star right now. She'll learn, though, and being in that band (and not being invited into any others) will be what teaches her. Likewise, there may be hope for the drummer and guitarist if they keep practicing.

Your first band is always great, even if it's shitty. :D

Those videos remind me of early highschool when me and a few buddies wanted to be punk rock stars. No one could play anything, getting together to make noise no one wanted to listen to. But hey it payed off, i guess. We still play together play gigs once in a while, get drunk... only thing is still no one wants to listen, but hey what the fuck? right?

The only difference between me and them is that I never posted videos on youtube

She could have a great future in sh*tty punk if she puts her mind to it.

If she has enough of a drive for self-promotion, with a voice like that she could be the next Britney Spears!
