The new Vintec console. Seems to be all german engineered, all tube, 26 TUBES PER CHANNEL STRIP!! Damn, thats uh, 624 tubes in a 24 channel console! And, it only runs at 100 degrees. Some wild ass engineering here... check out the channel strips interior pictures... it is some of the most beautiful engineering I've EVER seen, and i've never seen so much componentry packed so tightly onto a board. Check it out.

Hmmm... I guess we shouldn't mix up the Vintec with the preamp makers Vintech. Appears to be two different companies.

Well, you better start saving some pennies for THAT monster! I would squeeze a guess at $50,000. No idea as of yet how much it is.

I'm afraid $50000 is just about enough for the power supply...

What about Santa Claus? Does he know about this?

LOL....$50K? That might cover shipping and the crew to install it!

I will venture that they will offer that console at around 10X that price just to move one out the door and get it in somewhere.

I would venture really closer to $800K just because they aren't known yet.

We will see who bites for one....

Wwhhoooooowwwww, this is cool. Guessing for price isn't the way to go. I send them an email asking for a price clue. (I also honestly said I couldn't afford one)

(((yet))):(

That's a handsome work of art.

I've had my VS840GX and Behringer MX 602A for a few months now and am no only beginning to understand them.
I'd kick the bucket of old age before I ever learn to use something like that.

If one of you guys do find it under your Christmas tree, let us know what ya think. ;)

I'd think : 'that's one big christmas tree'

Nice one Downside....:)

Believe it or not, that console is not a whole lot different in terms of "learning to use it" than any number of cheapy consoles you would find at GC. It has a lot MORE of evenything though...:) It has a "few" options (:)) you won't find on anything but the top of the line consoles, but really, you can find just about every option on that console that you would on even a silly Mackie 8 Buss (minus the monitor bussing and video screen, and automation options....) Really though, it is not all that complicated. Just really BIG with ALL the pre/post fader options on Aux sends, and monitor bussing, and built in comp/gates. Looks like it has multiple Main Buss outputs to go to multiple mix down decks which is cool. Plenty of control/record room monitoring options.

10 years ago, I am sure they could get close to a million for this console...:)

I've been at the site a few times now just to look at the picture

The 24 channel in the 40 channel frame is only $230,067.53
The 48 channel is only $390,379.60
Thats a days pay for most of us. Place your orders now.

I'll just wait on the single channel rackmount version :)

THe single channel rackmount version will still cost you about $20000 though.

Is that US dollar?

Ed

Arh... I'll ask my girlfriend to get me one for christmas
390.000$ That's about the same price as 3 houses over here...

And those channel strip pictures are SICK!!! Goddamn man, who are those people?

btw
* Fivefold full parametric equalizer with high pass filter each channel, "Real bandwidth adjustment", boost/attenuate +/- 20dB, completely in tube technology

* Dynamic section each channel with compressor/limiter and noisegate/expander, completely in tube technology

* 48 pieces TAB V76/80 microphonepreamp, "The legend lives"

* Motor fader automation (on request different types)

* Integrated 10,4" TFT Display in center-section to control computer automation or different sources (video, analyzer, etc.) ... this is cool

* Switchcraft TT patchbay 27 x 48 lines and 576 tie lines

* Modular construction of the console

This unit is sick... I won't get any sleep tonight.. But look at the pictures of the designers and feel better hehe.. check out the cool guy with the phone :D

i'd pass ANYday

can you imagine the manhunt to find the tube which is on its way out but hasn't quite kicked the bucket yet? coudl you imagine once you've found it how much you've taken apart? could you imagine the cost of this HUGE thing's maintanence? 100F isn't exactly "kind" to electronics. Gimme an SSL anyday. If you could afford this, you must record 24/7... and think of how quickly you coudl pile up the hours. Not so far off till the circus comes back to town  !
