We are having to many mixed thoughts on this song, no pun intended. As most you you know, it does take some time to record a complete song. The only problem is we never really know what we are going to record, we just kind of improvise. I mean we usually have a foundation but most is just spur of the moment. My friend wants to re-record this song, while I do agree I also think it could be left as it is and we could go on to another song and just learn from this one. (meaning just plan out the song better, verses harmonies, ect.) We'll I figure since I dont know what to do I would ask you guys.

(if we do leave it we plan on going back and fixing the obvious parts that need it but any other advice would be appreciated, thanks.) peace.

I don't wanna die so here ya go. I was listening to the fade in and was diggin it but you cut it off too soon. Nice and appropriate drum beat. The recording sounds off center and could use more bottom end. Nice harmony vocals but they're clipping in places and sound thin during the solo. You stopped the drums towards the songs end which seemed a bit dragged out. I'd keep them in to the end and change the ending.

So do you
A.) Leave as it is and just learn from this one, or
B. ) Re-record this song
I'd go with C.) Leave as it is and Re-record it using this as a guide.

The ending is the part that we really want to fix.

Also you mentioned bottem end? Not sure what you are talking about. (I use Cubase and FL) thanks for the info, peace.

That's the second best thread title I've ever read...hehe..

I love this tune. Of course, there is always room for improvement in any recording, but I would move on to another song while still working on the arrangement of this one. I think everything's good, but the secons bridge comes in and then sounds awkward for a few bars. It just needs a better transition.
Whoever is singing is awesome, especially in that bridge. I like this alot...It's definitely a summer tune.

Awesome vocals on this - both lead, harmonies and good "responding" vocals. The guitar sounds really good - has a good percussive sound to it yet still carries the chords clearly. The lead guitar is balanced well with the rhythm.

I agree the ending needs some work, drums cut out too soon for me. Maybe just make the last chorus longer and fade it out overall instead of leaving the lead go on.....just a thought.

Do like this tune though......

:D :) :D :)

I mean the bass. It is barely audible and I can't hear the bass drum at all. Maybe bring the bass up some and add a bit of treble to the bass guitar?

cool, thanks. We did decided to re-record so let me know if you want to hear it. We are going to add some strings and bring the electric in. peace.
