Well here's my first song that I've ever done, please listen to it and give me suggestions as to mixing and stuff =)

and I don't know why it sounds so much lower compared to 'real' songs..like if i play both songs at the same time, the other song will sound louder than mine. what's the reason for that?

also when i sing "All for you", the all creates some kind of buzzing noise like its too loud, but when I look at the dB..it never hits red marking levels..what should I do to remove that buzzing noise?

Thanks so much in advance

The song is at the website

The drum machiine is way too loud. & the neverending cymbals in the latter part of the song really are annoying after a couple of bars.
I think your guitar is out of tune if not within itself then with you.
You'll need to master the track to get that level of volume you're after & that's a complicated process of magic stuff with compression, EQ & normalizing (the latter is a cheap & easy route with a not so great result unless you have some savvy - but all those things are similarly mysterious).
The BUZZ wasn't all to obvious from here.
You've started well - now go back in, some retracking, some re EQing, re mixing & if you can't fix it in the mix you'll HAVE to re track it.

okay, thanks for listening! i'll turn down the drum machine =)

what are you referring to with the EQ stuff..like I know how to EQ, but what should I EQ? I plan or redoing the guitar track once I move into my new house so if its out of tune, I can always rerecord it. Is there anything else I should look for and change?

thanks rayc

*bump*

i've lower the drum machine and did some remixing..tell me what you think please. what else should I be doing? it just seems like the song is missing something...i plan on adding a piano hook, do you think that's a good idea?

I'd EQ something off from the middle-frequencies, its a tad middly, then mabe lower the singing volume a bit. Quite a "teenie" tune ya got there. :D

What kind of guitar is it, because it doesn't sound too good. Like the other fella said, it sounds out of tune. Sounds like Ben Lee or something (not the guitar, the song). He had a couple of good songs. The vocals are a bit bland. Good go at your first ever recording. What software did you use to put it all together? Keep on truckin'.

The guitar's an Ibanez..and i've heard their not too good at acoustic-electric guitars. I plugged it straight into the comp which was probably a bad idea, but I haven't bought a compressor mic yet.

what does "EQ something off from the middle-frequencies" mean?

I use adobe audition to put everything together..i also have sony acid musicstudio, but i don't know how to use that.

The acoustic guitar is definitely out of tune, too 'whooshy' (mostly due to the annoyingness of the out-of-tune-ness).
Keep going at it!
