The above quote is from the Forum Index page.............the point being, that is where this should have been placed. Now maybe like a lot of people you hadn't got round to discovering what the different forums are set up for...........It's an unfortunate fact that most "newbies" (shit I hate that term), DON'T read most of the introductory stuff here and just dive straight into the forums, resulting in:...... cross-posting the same thing in a number of forums,......... posting things in the incorrect forum,......... asking a question that has been asked countless times before, (frequently on a weekly basis) simply because they either didn't know there is a search function OR are too bloody lazy to use it or they didn't bother looking through the post index pages of each forum to view thread titles.

Believe me, after seeing this happen month after month and knowing that it kind of frustrates a lot of people, I think you got off pretty lightly

Thanks for the welcome, but you guys are really harsh. This should be a place to get help from people like ourselves, but it seems to me that it is not like this at all. It seems like everyone wants to make themselves feel better by being an ass to someone else. I don't think that this place is constructive at all, from what I've seen. Noone here has been nice to me, except for "Wawazzat" and that's just because I already know him! I'll keep trying to help people out with their problems if I have a solution for somebody, and I'll try to be friendly and not *DOUBLE POST* because it seems like I'm going to hell now.

Sorry if you took my comment as a direct "shot" at you.........it wasn't. It was meant as a possible explanation for the reception you received...........the first two responses did lack subtlety, diplomacy and some of the finer qualities of communication.

Overall, the great majority of people here DO help others, although admittedly there are some forums or threads where that help is pretty thin on the ground.

In no online set of discussion forums that I'm aware of is it acceptable to "crosspost" - post the same topic in several forums with the hope of increased exposure.

Right on, MC..I'm still trying to come to grips with some of the people here...

A guy named Nicolas posted a song for review in the Recording Techniques forum, and nobody ripped on him for not posting in the MP3 section, I think just because he doesn't really speak English that well. Go and figure that out...
