Listened to Paisley - funky, smooth. Well mixed, can't tell what most of the lyrics are, but the rhythm seems to be what you are featuring there. Sounds polished and slick.

Funny how much a great band plays a big role in how good your mix can be.

Allota times for me, ill get great sounds for people who dont know what "tight" means.
Paisley Park is a great song, that IS "tight" IMO.

Paisley Park was recorded afew times with various members, its the guitarists tune. We decided that it needed a more'pop' feel to it vs. the more rockish feel of the past. Doesn't the bck vox sound like a female? its a dude actually pitched up a bit. LOL

On this version it was mixed by a commercial studio with a SSL. They just got it in from Arkansas about a week before, so there were some odd moments. Was a learning experience though.

Paisley - love it. Just love it.

My Friend - pretty cool too, except that ride cymbal is pretty annoying. Ah - it's just gone funk (listening to this as I type) that's better.

This is truly excellent stuff Tonio. Even cooler than the penguins :)
