I'm looking for a good solution for a talkback mic for my RME Fireface 800.

Also, is there a way to use the talkback on the Fireface without having to open the console and push the talkback button? That's kind of annoying. Like, maybe some foot pedal or button that I could stick at my feet or on my desk?

If you have a spare input just use that and get one of those really cheap shures with a switch on it. You can control the talkback on the mic itself.

You can assign whatever input you want to be the talkback on the RME. It lowers the volume automatically for you. That being said, I don't want to deal with a switch. I just want a small PC style mic and a possible switch for the talkback feature on the RME. I guess I'll have to ask RME about the talkback switch possibilities.
