Just got a huge preamp upgrade and I'm getting rid of a few of my cheaper pre's.

Behringer ada8000- $150+shipping

Maudio DMP3- $110+shipping

Joe Meek 3Q- $160+shipping

I only accept paypal.

Don't be shy guys, if you don't like the price, feel free to make an offer. Worse that can happen is I'll counter offer you. Also if anybody has an Alesis AI3 they want to trade for all this I'll do that too.

I'm adding

Valve Jr. head - $70+shipping

2 Audix f10 mics - $25each+shipping or $40 for the pair+shipping

2 Tama cymbal extension arms - $20each+shipping

..I know I shouldn't.. but I'm really considering the Valve Jr....

Let me know if no one is interested in a week.

upgrade

So what did you upgrade to?
enquiring minds want to know.

Then to call it a "huge preamp upgrade" would be a bit of an understatement...

I may be interested in your DMP3 - what kind of condition is it in? Out of curiosity I found that you can get a brand new DMP3 with full warranty and free shipping for $149.00 online. Are you firm with the $110.00 plus shipping?

In excellent condition, been sitting on top of my rack for 2 years. No prices aren't firm, just make an offer.

I really never thought great pre's would make a huge difference, I was wrong. Now for some decent conversion.

i run cheap pre's and im having problems with my mixes not having good highs and sounding muddy untill i boost a bunch of high freq. Does your preamp help this and make stuff more clean??

I never had a problem with my 3Q or DMP3 being muddy, and I definately don't with my True Systems. If you haven't tried a DMP3 you should, very clean and clear. It's often regarded as one of the cleanest cheap preamps you can buy.

yea i used to own a dmp an also a FMR RNP which is another clean pre.

I think it might be my tracking or something not sure!!

If you're getting mud through those preamps then you're definately doing something wrong on the mic'ing end of things.

come on,
Is the "Behringer ada8000" really that close to to the True Systems Precision 8?
They seem to be in a another league to me.

I'm fairly certain he means that to say it's a huge upgrade is an understatement, meaning it's much better than huge, and it is. Smooth and crisp is how I'd described the True Systems.
