Cheap-o reference/measurement mics?

Just curious if anybody has some of the less expensive reference/measurement mics (such as the Behringer ECM8000, Apex 220, Nady CM100, Superlux ECM999, others?) as part of their mic cabinet, and if so, what applications you're using them for?

I had a Behri ECM8000 about a year ago that I used with an RTA, but never considered the possiblility of using it as a recording mic. Thinking about it's "not entirely flat" frequency response curve now, it feels like it could be useful for ambient mic'ing to add a little "air" to the mix.

I have a pair of ECM8000. Right now, they're overheads (quite decent). I also like them on nylon string guitar.

I have an Apex 220, but also a pair of Shure KSM141s, so the 220 has never done anything but reference. Someday when I'm bored I might try it.

I'm looking at the Superlux ECM-999 and Behringer ECM8000, specifically for sound system measurements. No recording.

The response curve on the Superlux looks flat into the deep bass region, where I am most concerned. Searching the threads here seems to turn up a preference for the Superlux over the Behringer.

Opinions, anybody?

For subwoofer measurement, is there any reason I cannot use my Studio Projects C4 omni for this?
