I want to get some moniters fairly soon, but I don't have very much money to spend. What ais the cheapest moniters that I can get that are still decent. Is there a point were it would be better to just use my stero speakers for now and then get a little better moniters later. I just got some nice headphones, but I know those are not great for recdording.

Umm.... probably around $150, maybe a little more or less. I might save for longer, but I don't want to spend much.

If you could get about $300 you could get some Event TR5's. I have some and they are awesome. You'd probably be better off saving for a little longer. But that's just one guys opionion. Good Luck.

I don't think you find any good monitors in that price range.

Don't feel bad about it, I also have to save very long each time before I can b uy a new peice of equipment. But believe me, the waiting is worth it.

My happiest day was when I sold my TR-5s. I got better results with my pioneer bookshelf speakers - really. Now I'm the proud owner of a pair of KRK RP8s and Wharfedale 8.2A's

Buy yourself somthing from AMS and take advantage of their payment plan.

So would it be better to just use my stero speakers and headphones for now until I have enough money for moniters?

dude www.americanmusical.com anything over $249 can be put on a 0% financing....3 payments. get them now and make a payment each month for the next 2 months and you're golden

Also if you have an e-bay account, they do have some good monitors you can get for cheap. Just make sure the guy you are buying from a good rep. The other option, is try your local Pawn Shop (sometimes they carry some good stuff), or GC (used area). However, if you are overseas I'm not sure what to tell you.
Your local paper might also be a good source (then again I live near Seattle), but then it depends where you live. Nowhere, USA will not have too many choices for you.

Depends what level your at with you music...?

Perhaps some cheaper ones might make do if your just putting together your music. If your thinking of cutting your own songs and engineering & mixing a whole project then you would have to pay lots more, plus get some room treatment to get a clearer mixing environment.
