Most of the guys in here are doing the same stuff as you in some capacity, whether it's as instrumentalists, tracking or mixing guys, etc. so some appropriate post topics would be:
discussing current trends in hip-hop, innovative or unusual production techniques, asking advice and/or opinions from other members, answering those questions, comparing gear lists, etc.
That excludes posting for the sole purpose of promoting your own products/services, even in the context of "fair" product comparisons. Rare exceptions, member-by-member basis, tarring/feathering, yadda-yadda. . .
Mostly 'cause I don't need some guy asking me for free 808 samples, then complaining that "they don't cut through, and what am I tryna pull, giving him that Miami bullcrap", then getting tons of help from everybody here on sampling and programming samples, then trying to sell me a sample disk for $199 based on that single sample I gave him and the tweaks we all suggested, which he didn't even implement correctly.
Same applies to full instrumentals (at least to me, I'm pretty sure I don't speak for the majority in this forum).
