Does anyone have any experience with the PreSonus Eureka channel strip? Is there another channel strip in this price range that I should take a look at? I would intitially be using this with AT3035 microphone and later this summer a Shure KSM44.

Thanks

I have used it and it's not bad. Certainly a mid-level piece in price and performance. The preamp is on the brighter side but the impedence selection could vary the sound a lot on some mics. The EQ and compressor are decent and will certainly yield a better result than most channel strips in entry and many mid level boards.

Thanks War, are there any other channel strips around that price range that I should be looking at?

The Safe Sound Audio P1 is still my favorite unit for tracking especially. If you're eq'ing in your DAW hands down I'd grab it. If EQ is important to you, I'd take a serious look at the Toft ATC-2 for 2 nice preamps, compressors, and really (I mean REALLY) nice EQ's.

For a good musical preamp needing some expandin' / compressin' / limitin' on the way in the P1 wins. Really holds stuff in place well without a lot of setup time and not real noticeable itself. It even has a monitoring section with headphone amp to bypass any latency issues anyone's having recording to a DAW. It was just made for some trackin'...but remember I'm biased!
