Channel Strip for Vocals

Hey, I was wondering what was a good channel strip to use for vocals. Right now we are using the 'ol mic into preamp into sound card. I would like to have some more options with the incomming signal so that is why I'd like a channel strip. I haven't started looking at any yet, have any ideas/recomendations?
