Need some help on this one. Was recording drums with effects. Sent the signal out through effects one send, to effects unit, then into channel 5/6. Adjusted the 5/6 for the right amount of effects I wanted to record wet with. However, when I increased the amount on 5/6, the levels on that certain track went through the roof, even if the faders were set at 1 or 0. Does that 5/6 channel override the faders on the affected track? Do I have lower the effects 1 send very low? But if I increase the out on 5/6, the wet signal will peg the recording levels for that track. The more I think about it, I think I answered my own question. I guess I have a hard time understanding why the out on 5/6 would override the faders, even if they are set at 0.
Enlightenment anyone???
thanks

I think you are supposed to turn 5-6 ALL THE WAY UP.

Then you use your "Effect 1" knob as a Dry/Wet knob. If it's too loud, turn down the Output of the Unit. If it's too distorted turn down the Input of the unit.

Does this helP?
