hi there.

ive recently got pro audio 9, and ive been fiddling around with multi-track recordings with my guitar. basically what i have is a rythm intro, that i want fairly loud, then i want it to go quiet once the lead comes in. ive been stuffing around a bit, and looking at the help file, but i cant figure it out.

any help would hbe appreciated.

thanks.

yes i think thats what i was after, however i still cant figure out how to do it! it would be great if you could give me instructions (Sorry im a real newb at pro audio).

incase you dont know what im tlaking about (but i think you do), frog summed it up well;

"For example if I want a volume swell at a certain point in a track" - frogfroggg

thanks.

Right-click on a clip. Go to "envelope", and in the new pop-up choose Volume. This new blue line, you can drag up and down, create nodes (if you right-click on it) and make fairly complex volume-changes if you want to.

And there's always the Help-files, you know... :D

yeah i know ive chekde ou the help files but i just cant find what im after.

hah thanx heaps i found it. i realise now you have to be in the AUSIO view :).

I've spent a short while now learning to use envelopes and believe me they make life loads easier.

It's confusing at first but will soon drop into place.

You can put a lot more 'movement' into a track with envelopes, rather than just increasing or decreasing volume.

...Yup, you mean AUDIO view in CWPA 9. :D most of us use SONAR so we might forget to mention that you're using CWPA 9... In sonar, we do that straight in Track view...
