newbie ihs221 here,

I was given some used Aulalex 112's & 114's but they do not match the colors in my studio. The charcol is ok but the purple has got to go. Can I dye, paint or change the color without effecting the absorption quality?
Thanks to any/all who can help.

The quantity of paint that you would have to spray onto Auralex to turn purple into something esle would most likely change its properties too much. Maybe consider covering them with a fairly accoustically transparent fabric.

If you have a small scrap piece, you could try bleaching it and then try a suitable color of dye.
