can u do a 'Global' tempo change in sonar?

for ex.

lets say u record an 8 bar beat @ 90bpm copy and paste the track till its long enuff for a song but realize you want it at 88bpm so is their a way to do this to the entire project cause when i do this now whithin sonar every 8 bars i have to change the tempo to 88bpm cuz they're still @ 90 bpm

teach - If it's all midi I am pretty sure you can. Try and do a Select All first before you change the tempo.

I've had the same problem you are having, and if I recall I think it was caused by not having everything selected.

u mean all the tracks in the project highlighted/selected right? well sometimes its a mix of midi and audio

I don't think you can change the tempo with audio in the project. It will stretch/shrink the audio and make it sound pretty bad.

Maybe I'm not fully understanding what you want to do.

when u acidize the file u can change tempos w/o fucking it up

Interesting. I haven't done much with loops. Maybe I need to play around with it. Could be a powerful tool.

Anyway, in that case, I'm not sure what will result, but you should at least try it using the Select All command first. (Just be ready to use the Undo command :) )

Teach, the other thing I thought of was using the Event List. I believe when you change a tempo in Sonar, it shows up on the Event List. So, for example, if you have a tempo set at 90 bpm, and then after 8 measures it changes to 88 bpm, you should find an entry in the Event List dictating the change from 90 to 88 at measure 8. You can just then delete that event and the tempo would remain at 90.

it doesn't unless i'm look at the wrong thing in the events list
