Calling all the producers in here who make that hot ish... And emcees who spit it.

Change (that's me ;) ) is looking to drop a mixtape set to release at a New Years eve concert I'm hoping to get booked soon... This mixtape will be 100% free of charge to whomever will like to download it, and I plan to print up a cover, and distribute it via the trunk and my shows, for $1.00 to the public. The last time I did this, I moved over 10,000 units.

The cover print up will have a tracklisting, and will list YOUR contact info as the producer for that track. This project will accomplish two purposes.

1. I grow my fanbase

2. You hopefully grow your fanbase, and possibly get some business from people looking to buy beats.

Just like the last mixtape I did, I will not be paying for anything but the duplication and printing. I can't afford to pay for beats on a project I'm giving away ($1.00 per CD will cover my costs). I'm sure you can all understand that. Since I own my recording studio, and I mix and master as an audio engineer for many other artists, all of that will be free to me as well.

I'd like for any of ya'll to be featured as producers on this project, as well as featured emcees. If you're just an emcee, as long as you're dope and your quality is on the level, I welcome you aboard...

Please let me know if you're down for this. I'd like to get crackin at it as soon as I can. I'm looking to drop at least 15 tracks, maybe 20. The entire mixtape will be very commercial... not radio commercial, but industry commercial. A few club bangers, but mostly street/thug music.

If you're down to ride, and get your music heard by thousands of potential fans, please let me know you're on board.

I'm thinking mixtapes is the best way for our fam to go. That's where the Hustle Magic compilation came from. You're up on the game already and I got nothin' but respect for that.

Also, if ya'll have beat pages on soundclick or whatnot, with available beats for me to use, please hook that up. I'll peep em now, and let you know what I'd like to use...

Also, I am not asking for custom or exclusive beats from anyone... feel free to sell em to anyone you can... AFTER I use em. :D

Yeah everybody knows I've got samples. I've got about 111 beats on my site right now. Some are for my upcoming CD but those should be labeled as such...anything else is fair game.

Ya'll, get samples to me or drop links... Me and Hard Target knocked out two tracks tonight so far, and we've got 10 other beats already approved. None are fromanyone here... So get at me quick. We work REALLY fast together.

I want to say im down definitely...but right now law school shit is getting kinda crucial...i have a 30-50 page paper due soon, and i have a rediculously complicated take home secured transaction exam due the 17th...plus trying to get ready for other upcomming exams and the bar, and job search..

plus i work...and wife needs a lil time...so im kinda hard pressed to find recording time at the moment.


is it possible that i can submit something already recorded? or is it only over your production?..cause i dont want to commit if i might not find time to write and record...and i definitely dont wanna throw together no half assed shit.
 
Now there's somethin' I wouldn't have guessed....what type of law are you studying for? Criminal? Civil? Entertainment? Law's a good choice of a career if it interests you and you can hack the years in school and the work to get there.

As for me, I'll continue on with business management.
 
I'm sure I don't fit in with your style as an emcee but I have a beat I'm currently working on that's coming along real hot but I don't see myself writing to it. I'll see if I can finish it tomorrow and offer it to ya. I'm always willing to contribute to whatever.

Man, honestly its still up in the air...even though im in my Final year of law school. I know that i DO NOT want to do criminal law.


I would ideally like to do entertainment law...im already working with many major DJ's like DJ Vlad, DJ Chuck T, etc...and a few Independant labels and managers, helping them out with contracts and things...


but im in south carolina...not much of a market...If i move to Atlanta or even Charlotte or Raleigh North Carolina, it might be a better place to get started....

i plan on moving...but right now...im just looking to get a few years of professional experience under my belt, while keeping and expanding my contact in the entertainment industry, so that i can parlay my degree + my experience into an entertainment related career.

But shit...its really job search time for me...so i gotta get myself together...and try to finish out these last two semesters strong.

I currently work as a law clerk at the SC Department of Labor Licensing and Regulation.
