How would one record the words witch or ditch with out the CH standing out so much? When recording, the CH sound stands out badly

You get the singer to only sing half the word, and punch in the other half later using a different mic!
(Kidding...)
One or more of the following tips -
1 - Use a pop filter
2 - Aim the mic slightly off-axis of the singer's mouth
3 - Move the singer further away from the mic
4 - Use a de-esser (in moderation!)

Put a little "g" in that "ch"

Are you using reverb
If you are using reverb, try cutting back on it a bit. Reverb can realy enhance this type of sound

Tried all tips given for the CH problem and the quality has improved dramaticly. Thanks to all!!!
