hello again.

Endless questions..:D

This dude has been selling this rig for me for years, and now it's posted at a local marketplace.
I know Cerwin-vega from PA systems, but never heard of their bass-amps.

Would that be a solidstate...probably.. in which case I presume 1000euros isn't exactly a bargain for that behemoth?

i dont know their bass amps either--- this is the first ive seen.

i see a BIG problem right away. there is no protection for the speakers. also, the speakers are clamped in place, rather than screwed. if a clamp or two fail, out pops the speaker (not good). this sort of securing seems to be a mark of "cheap" gear (in quotes since 1000 euros aint cheap). this cab would never survive road use. of course, this would be neither difficult or expensive to rectify.

i will say that i have owned several cerwin-vega products over the years (all home audio type), and currently have a powered sub that kicks. *i* have never been let down, but i cant be certain that translates to the masses.

considering the conversion rate (1000 euros = around 1480 us dollars)... you can buy a lot of amp for $1500, and probably most of them would stomp this unit. then again, hearing is believing. how does it sound?
