CEP 2.0 and skipping in rec mode

I have a compaq 667 celeron/192mb/6.0gb of free space and a Darla 24 soundcard. I have CEP 2,0 now and while recording vocals, or any 2nd track over the first one, the playback during record skips and causes everything that is then being recorded to be late. what is this and how can I deal with it? I didn't have this problem with version 1.2a....

if ur on an IM program, like MSN or AIM, when some1 replies and u get a buss or a ding, that makes it skip for sum reason! dont ask why, record when you have NOTHING up, maybe lyrics or sum shit but stay off the net while recording!

Thanks. Yep it was a processing problem. I turn everything off in my system try and it works great now.
