I'm thinking of making my own CD's and selling them on the streets. i think this is a popular way of getting recognition for my music. any words or opinions.

To the OP - don't know where you are located, but do you see a lot of musicians selling CDs on the street in your town? Almost no one is buying CDs these days, everyone is downloading/streaming. Certainly very very few people are buying CDs from someone they've never heard before!
