CDR choices... FYI

The following is a list of compatible CD burners for VS Recorders:

Of course, there's the official "Roland" burner, but other than that, Plextor 4220TE, 8220TE, JVC2010, JVC2040.

The JVC burners will be hard to find as they were discontinued last year. Same goes for the Plextor 4220 (or so I hear).

Also, the Plextor 8220 isn't compatible with the older 880V-Expanded, and from what I heard from a Roland rep, they have no plans to make it compatible. The 880V has gone about as far as it can with any major upgrades.

So, there you have it. Not a heck of a lot of options, is it? :D
 
What I was trying to say is exactly what you read. Not so hard to understand, is it??? I saw a few posts asking what CDR's are compatible with VS series recorders. Just tryin' to help.
 
The Plexwriter 12432 (external) works too. I bought it for $379 from onvia.com two weeks ago--worked right out of the box. At least on my 1680.
