HI ITS ME AGAIN...

Well, im using yamaha 4416 and I was wondering if After I have recorded my song and burned it using the cd rw drive witht the yamaha, could I put that cd in my comp and get those files and edit it using like cakewalk or cubase or something?? ok thx!!

Be more specific, When you say burning a song, do you mean the final mix or individual tracks? and when you say "edit it using cakewalk" are you talking about editing the final stereo mix?
If you are trying to get different tracks in cakewalk from a stereo mix you already burned, well it is not possible. If you burn different tracks individually and import it to cakewalk or cubase, you can edit them and bring out a final mix. Does that answer your question? Good Luck!

hmm

Well so youre saying that if I burn my individual tracks onto the cd using the yamaha, then I could use that cd to edit and add effects and master it and such on my comp?? Cuz I want to get the basic insturments onto the comp so that I could add effects and such to them... in order to do this, would I need to only burn the trtacks seperatly onto a cd ( 1 cd = 1 track ) or ( 1 cd = all tracks seperate) and then edit from my comp track by track?? sorry if this is confusing lol and thx!~!

That's it. You can't edit individual instruments if you don't have them as individual tracks.

ok

So do I need to save all the tracks as seperate wav files??
