Just had an idea and thought I would share it. How about a thread for cd trading, selling, and buying? Anyone see a downside to this? Maybe a rule should be added stating that if a burned cd is involved, it has to be accompanied by the original. I know lots of folks have cd's with some light scratches that don't do well in all cd players.

Any ideas here?

Light scratches are easily polished off. :D
There are places around here that will polish your CD's to take the scratches out.

I mentioned the burned cd issue because I knew it would likely come up at some point. Most places that I know of charge at least a couple of bucks to polish a cd. What do you get out of a used cd? $5?

Yeah, I know what you hinting at. DON'T SELL COPIED CD's.... :D

actually, i was planning on hording all those cher cd's in the $0.99 bins at the cd shops and trading them to apl for some decent stuff.

This may be a bit off topic, but I came across a site (lala.com) that is attempting to do CD swapping on a large scale...members compile a list of the CDs they have and a list of CDs they want and the site charges a 1.00 to act as the middle-man...This may not be something new, but I had never seen this done before...

The problem for me is that I usually put a lot of thought into getting CDs and once I have them I don't want to let them go.

The only CD I have now that I wouldn't mind trading is the mid-80's Tears For Fears "Songs From The Big Chair", it has the hits "Shout", "Everybody Wants To Rule The World", and "Head Over Heels" (......................crickets chirpping).

Guess I'm datin' myself but I liked that particular CD (Songs from the Big Chair). Even have the video version with the interviews.

Thanks for that link. I had a look and it looks look a cool site. I have'nt been so fortunate in some of my cd purchases. I've came across alot of music that was good for a listen but just did'nt suit my taste in the long run.
