when i burn .wav files to cd-audio format (using a Smart N Friendly CD Racer, Adaptec Easy CD Creator), i get 2 error messages at the end of the recording. i can play the burnt CDs normally on my computer or car stereo, but they don't seem to register with home stereo systems. a friend told me something about maybe reformatting the first track. any suggestions? thanks

I've never personally seen errors when burning audio CDs, but then everything I've ever read says to burn audio CDs onto CD-Rs, not CD-RWs. What error messages are they, and have you checked the Adaptec and Smart and Friendly Web sites for clues as to what they mean?

ok, i have a little more information..heh

whether burning audio or data onto my CD-RW disc, i get 2 errors when it's done burning and at the end of writing the TOC. they are both sense error codes, 0X00, which according to the manual, means that the device (or software) has some error, but specific info isn't available. as far as the .cda files (audio), i do close the session, so it's not that, but i can still only play the discs in my computer or car stereo, no home stereo capability.
any special reason why audio should only be burnt onto CD-R?

The reason you should only burn audio files onto CDR is that CDRWs can't be read by an ordinary CD player. For other purposes, go ahead....
