I have finally found out why have had intermittent dropouts. Disable the CD drive in device mgr and it will record for hours and no dropouts.
Also Wavelab has a conflict with this drive aslo. Will not write.
I'm beginnning to think TSST Corp(whoever they are) drives are not compatible with daw software.
By the way this is in one of those laptops from Sonica. PC works magnificent. Thonex runs at 40%
