cd burning speed

Hi,
i'm new to all this burning lark.just wanted to know if the speed you burn something at affects the sound quaitly? if so what is the best speed to burn at? thanx,

Best burning speed with modern burners depends. It's all about cd drive and cd brand combination.

1x and 2x are generally NOT good burning speeds with newer cdr drives.

I tend to always burn 8x or 10x for critical stuff.

 

[Massive Master]

4X has turned into the "industry standard" for lowest error rates on modern drives. My own experimentation backs that up, YMMV.
