Hello,
I am the spokesperson for a company called CD BABY RIPOFF.
We are representing artists who have had money withheld from them wrongfully or been treated unfairly by CD BABY,when they had cds for sale there.
Everyday we are getting closer to being able to file a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT against Derek Sivers and his company.
Many people have been done dirty by his company ,but were afraid to speak out.
Today there are other companies besides CD BABY to sell independent cds.

Afraid? Are they gonna bust your kneecaps? :rolleyes: Ive never met ONE person who is afraid when it come to money. :D

I dont know what they are after, the yahoo email addy doesnt give me a lot of confidence in the class action suit.
 
sounds fishy, but who knows...

we've had no problem with them paying us at all, but i can see there being an issue when you've got hundreds of thousands of bands CDs to keep track of. that being said, if there are other (better) ways to sell their CDs, why don't people just do it and quit bitching about it. if there is some kind of lawsuit, it sounds like a company thats pissed off because CD Baby is taking a bunch of their market share. as i said, we've been very pleased with them as they've hooked us up with all sorts of other avenues for people to purchase our CDs that we couldn't or really didn't want to handle all on our own...ie. Amazon, iTunes, Tower Records, Napster, eMusic...i could go on an on, and now we're finding that people are actually purchasing our CDs through those routes...we didn't think they would, but now we're pretty happy we've gone with CD Baby.
 
Umm... Don't believe everything you read on the SC boards. Three fourths of what people post there is s***. :eek:

So all those people telling me I am great are lying?? Drats :mad: :D

It is probably some dumb scam, but I am always wanting to know if a company has bad aspects. A LOT of CDs are on CD Baby, mine will be soon too. If they have any skeletons in the closet I sure would like to know.
