Hi i have recorded my album onto cassette and now i don't know what direction to go. i want to somehow touch it up or remaster it with my computer but how do i get it there? can someone please point me in the right direction!!

Do you have a soundcard on your computer? Would you be willing to spend a little money on a soundcard? If you have a decent soundcard, you can mix to your computer and manipulate your music to your hearts content.

You kinda shot yourself in the foot by mixing to cassette, and then going into the computer. Basically adding uneccessary generation of tape that just degrades the signal. Best bet would be to mix directly to your computer, first thing. Not a real big deal, but if you can avoid that degradation, you should try to.
A quality soundcard will go a long way. I use a cheapo card and it mangles everything that goes into it. If your serious about using your computer for audio, you need a 'real' soundcard. You still need software to actually make a .wav file from the input you feed the computer, though. I would suggest looking into Sound Forge (or Sound Forge XP ... if you're budget minded). I've had huge success with this product. It allows you to record .wav (or pretty much any other file type) and then edit the waveform, add effects, etc etc... afterward.
Good luck
