Cassette To Computer

I have been tryin to record from a tape, to my computer using the Line Out on the tape recorder and the Line In on the soundcard. The sound has been very fuzzy and there is a loud clicking noise when i play the recorded file.

Any ideas?

One idea:

Bad levels. Sounds like perhaps the input is cranked too high and you're clipping the analog-to-digital converters.

i think the volume on the line in was just too high, seems to be workin now so thanks!
