I am trying to record some of my wifes accomaniment tracks from tape to computer to burn onto cd and am not happy with the amount of tape hiss on the finished cd. Is there anything out there that will clean up these recordings? I tried using the de-click feature on my cd burning software and did not do much if anything for the quality.

if this is mono or stereo stuff goldwave might help you out..it's shareware....i'm curious , what kind of soundcard? is this definitely tape hiss?

I have a standard soundcard that came with my compaq. I am pretty sure this is tape hiss as some of the tape are getting pretty old, but are not availible anymore. Where do I get a hold of the stienburg clean? Thanks for the help!!
