hey yall, wassup?

i am trying to record some old cassette's onto my pooter and am having NO LUCK!!.

i have my cassette player patched into my home stereo. i tried running the 2 RCA/1/8" stereo cable out of various locations on my system to the "blue" IN-line plug on my pooter and i am getting nothing. the cable is good cause it works on the "output"
from my pooter.

i went in the record/playback area of my Nividia control panel and everything seems to be setup.

i can record into my desk mike while talking.

anybody have a clue or a hint? thx,jw

here's the usual question.
do you have the "line in" box checked insted of the "mic in" box? this is the most common issue with this problem. i don't know how advanced you are at this but i've made that mistake a few times so i t might be that

thx, nope ya never know out here.

i have the both seperated. even got the mic plugged into it's "pink" connector so i won't make that mistake.

i am an old fart from the 4 track days and a 30 year musician so i've patched a few cables.

STILL, i'm challenged at times at various things....jw

The recording source is set from a drop box at the left of the soundstorm CP.

thx for the help again guys.

i tried straight out of the "out" from the tape deck.it worked. before,i was coming out of the "tape out" of my reciever. DOH!!!

now i need another double RCA/1/8" cable to moniter it all. jw
