cassete to cd

We have several cassette tapes that we want to put on cd. We have a cd burner but can not figure out how to record from a cassette player. Any help???

You need software to record your tape to the hard drive first. I highly recommend downloading and buying Cool Edit 2000 for this. It wil also allow you to clean up the audio and prep it for CD-R.
You will also need a software to burn that Cd. Fortunately, most burners come with the software bundled, usually CD Creator.

And you will need a 1/8" stereo male to 2 RCA plugs to patch between your cassette player and computer sound card.
