Casio CTK-671

I just bought a casio ctk-671. What is the best to record it on my pc. I am new to PC recording and keyboards. With my guitar I usually just line out to the soundcard. Any ideas or hints?
I also have no clue about MIDI, if someone wants to help with that.
 
Do alot of research. Then get a MIDI interface if you dont have one. Do research. Then get VST instruments. Get 2 MIDI cables and plug them in. Do research and then buy software that allows you to record MIDI/VST. Finally, do alot of research.
 
here's a good product to buy to record midi from your casio to the usb port on your computer.

There's a thread in this forum called "favorite soft synth" or something like it that has links to free soft synth instruments....

What is soft synth? I am new to all of this MIDI and keyboard stuff, but loving it.
 
It's an instrument that's utilized as software in a computer. You're keyboard controls which sounds are played in the software via computer commands (midi).
