Good / bad / indifferent?

A 24 ch 8-bus S/L (Carvin's high end) with a meter bridge is about $2K. Any experiences to shed light on the bang-for-the-buck issue?

Let the games begin...

FWIW, I've got a Carvin powered mixer which has been very good. Here's a thread on Carvin gear in general.

Please don't. Some of their gear is cool, but....
If you are looking to do anything remotely pro the specs on their site tell the story. This is a noisy board. The crosstalk spec sucks. Basically if you run something into one channel there is a good chance you will be able to hear it on another. And if it is for live work, it looks like you could sneeze it into little pieces.

Get a used Mackie 24x8, Behringer Eurodesk, or save up and buy an older Allen and Heath- not as many features but clean and smooth-sounding.

i hate them

i rarely say that about gear.

used one doing a favor for a guy, wouldn't give you $100 for one.
