I need a basic (1 in/1 out) cardbus soundcard for my Powerbook G4, I'll be hooking up to a mixer to record 1 track at a time, so I really don't need loads of inputs. Any reccomendations? I've looking at the Echo Indigo I/O. What do think?
I've got it, I love it . Honestly, I use other (PCI and Firewire) interfaces for full duplex recording. But the Echo is fantastic: Crystal clear sound, low synth latency and the option to record! I use it on an AMD laptop, on a Powerbook G4 it's gotta be the bomb!!
One more thing: You've gotta use the battery or use a three prong adapter to your a/c unit because it's got a grounding issue. But those 3 prong adapters are like pennies at your local general store. If you don't ground it right, you're prone to some nasty bitter (buzzing/humming)
I'll go off and get me one of them so!
Us folk in Ireland are blessed/cursed with 3 prongs as standard, so hopefully should be cool there! We've had to do some fairly scary things live because of them though!!!
