Hey guys, I have three tracks on the site now. Our first attempt at recording using a 4-track.

Any feedback would be great....click the downloads section:

First off I listened to Sweetest Friend... what did you do to the guitar to make it sound so bad? Behind the noise I could hear a brilliant song trying to get out but the recording was terrible. This is my kind of music, i'd love o hear it recorded properly. The singing was good and the playing was ok but nobody is going to want to listen to this as it is.

The Song gets a B
The Singing gets a B
The recording gets an F.

Ditch the 4-track get a pc and cubase with a half decent soundcard and a little mixer.

I am on a cable modem and it was downloading at 11 - 34 kps??? You need to find a decent site to host your stuff.

That being said, I listended to Sweetest Friend ( I don't have all day to wait for your songs to download, and it was the first one...).

The hiss was really loud and too prominent.... It seems to me that you have some good songs; you are fairly decent musicians, and good singer.
But your recordings are killing the vibe...

Why not look into upgrading? Or, even better, book some time in a studio...

Hey guys, thanks for the comments.

Im in the process of upgrading to a digital recorder so hopefully that will sort out the sound problems to a certain extent.

It was recorded through a mixer into one track of a bottom of the line 4-track and then recorded as a wave file using the Windows XP sound recorder. That might explain the hiss!!

Might just leave it to the experts though and we'll stick to the music!!!Thanks again for the feedback, its appreciated.
