Can't select Omnistudio as the recording device

I just bought a M-audio Omnistudio to play with. I loaded the drivers per instructions, pluged in the USB cable between the device and my laptop and it reconized it. I opened cool edit pro to try and record with it but was not successful.

I opened the windows mixer to try and set the recording device and volume. When I tried to select the Omnistudio as the device (Drop down window) it only let's me cancel out of that window, not oking it as the recording device.

I know that the laptop and device are talking as I can hear the Cool Edit metronome through the Onmistudio headphone out.

What am I not doing? What is not set up correctly?
 
Not familiar with setting up usb, but is there someing CEP like 'profile soundcard', so cep knows to look at the usb port instead of the onboard card.

Also, you've selected the usb L/R inputs when you've armed the tracks to record in cep?
